Welcome to First Lake Advisors!  I started this company to provide advisory and consulting services to companies of all sizes, but with a particular focus on privately-held enterprises.  My primary goal is to assist entrepreneurs in achieving their strategic objectives.  Over the course of my career, I have been involved with many acquisitions of owner-operated businesses and I have always enjoyed learning about how they got to where they were and all of the challenges they had to overcome along the way.  My primary objective is to provide owner-operated businesses with the expertise and experience of a seasoned CFO, but without the associated overhead cost.  I can provide these services on an as-needed or part-time basis.  So, whether a company is looking to expand, acquire, obtain financing or looking to put together a more robust business planning structure, I will work along side ownership to see that their strategic objectives are met.  Ultimately, if an exit strategy is desired, my role would be to ensure that the company is well-positioned to achieve the best possible result.  Of course, for more mature, larger organizations, I can provide a variety of project-related services, depending on the specific need.

At this point in my career, I want to focus on the things I really enjoy and work with a small number of clients to achieve their goals.  As of now, First Lake Advisors is just me, but there is the potential for expansion as opportunities arise.  I hope you find this web site useful and informative.  I think it does a good job of describing First Lake Advisors’ services.  In the future, I hope to provide additional blogs about topics relevant to privately-held businesses.
